Evelyne de Pontbriand, winemaker, has managed the estate since 2001. A literary education, passionate about music, gardens, and taste; she is a firm believer of the notion of terroir wines, ie the ’wines that bear the mark of their place’. She likes to quote this sentence from Jacques Puisais:
"Wine should have the face of its birthplace and the guts of the man who made it...
At the bottom of the glass, I want to find the landscape of where I am."
Pauline, collaborator in the management of the Domaine. Angevine and passionate Chenin, she changed her life in 2015 to become a winemaker after a few years working in the fabulous world of commerce and marketing. A great experience in a New Zealand biodynamic field from which we must rethink our approach to living in agriculture. In 2018, it accepts the mission to gradually take over following Evelyne by giving as ambition of confectionery wines developed with passion and honesty. P>
Bruno, our cellar master, has worked at the domain since 1982. He is also responsible for the management of orders, shipments and logistics.
Robin, our vineyard manager, runs the vineyard. After studying at the Angers’s University , Robin turned to viticulture under the impetus of his winegrower friends. Observer and ecologically concerned, he did not see himself working otherwise than in organic farming. Passionate about chenin, he joined the field in 2018 and continues to deepen, every day, his knowledge in biodynamics.
Elise, cultural mediator and professional guide, is in charge of hospitality and tourism development.
She organizes all the tours, events, tasting workshops, train the hospitality team.
Adeline, is involved in the promotion of estate wines in France and in the development of seminar and room rental activities. A graduate in commerce and tourism, she is fond of wine alongside her fellow winemaker in the Layon. At the Domaine, she uses her talents for communication and is a support to the wine tourism team.
