Chenin blanc or Pineau de Loire is the only authorized grape variety for the AOC Savennières.

Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon are the two varietals used for our red wines : AOC Anjou (rouge) and AOC Anjou-Villages .

The rows are 1.60m to 2m apart and the vine plants 1m apart. A 60cm strip is seeded with grass every other row in order to protect the soil's microbial life , avoid erosion and control the vigor of the vine. The other row is ploughed.

Our consultant Clément Baraut mentions : " A good part of the vineyard has been grass-covered, which allows for good aeration of the soil, maintenance of its porosity and an organic nutrient supply. The putting under grass allows mastering of the vine vigor and growth, and makes it less sensitive to diseases.
